Position Overview

You thrive in fast-paced environments, using your excellent organization skills and adaptive approach to always stay two steps ahead. Your superb communications skills and knack for coordination ensure everyone stays on the same page. You've got the exact skill set we need as our Planning Scheduler for Natural Gas Transmission.

Joining our Low Carbon Transportation and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) department, you'll manually schedule and forecast the right resources and assets while effectively collaborating with our customers and suppliers. You'll also look into optimizing schedules and established procedures.

You can pivot at a moment's notice with ease and seamlessly adjust last-minute requests that meet our customers' needs. No detail gets past you and your sharp analytical eye, and you pride yourself on maintaining accuracy no matter the pace.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to department and supporting groups, in the effective provision of forecasting, coordinating, scheduling and monitoring of department projects and related activities.
  • Collaborate with others in the effective coordination of short and long term planning and scheduling activities.
  • Utilize designated scheduling system to develop and implement a series of master schedules to cover all long term and short term department projects and daily operations. Maintain schedules, rebalance resource/work requirements, anticipate peaks and emergencies and make plans for contingencies from both an equipment and resource perspective.
  • Plan, organize and deliver schedules for projects and project proposals based on project milestones and the departments operational requirements. Attend to scheduling requests, changes and revisions to project plans; determine priorities, investigate and identify gaps and impacts to resources and costs and compile pertinent information for further action and decisions by others.
  • Prepare workload reports; determine project health and schedules, evaluate relevant metrics as required. Prepare and present project planning and scheduling status reports to management and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and be accountable for the scheduling control system. Participate in quality improvement initiatives for the scheduling process in concert with stakeholders.
  • Perform duties of a minor nature related to the above duties, which do not affect the rating of the job.
Requirements
  • Completion of recognized post-secondary Business Diploma/Technical Diploma
  • Two to four years experience in resourcing and/or project management services
  • Knowledge of resourcing and /or project management services and processes
  • Sound working knowledge of MS Office
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling project software
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work within demanding work schedules
  • Valid BC Driver’s License

  • This position is on a Tuesday to Saturday 9:00AM to 5:00PM shift.
