Overview

Catalyst Metals Limited (ASX: CYL) owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia, producing approximately 85koz of gold annually. The Company also holds the Four Eagles Gold Project in Bendigo and is preparing to bring three new mining areas at Plutonic into production over the next 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer, as a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for short-term development designs, regional evaluations, scheduling, and ensuring operational targets are achieved. This position provides excellent exposure to complex planning in a highly remnant mine, rewarding proactive and critical thinkers with a collaborative approach.

Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant mining industry experience.
  • Underground production and planning experience in mechanised hard-rock mining.
  • Demonstrated expertise across all planning processes (long to short term).
  • Strong skills in mine design (development and production).
  • Proficiency with Deswik software suite.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to integrate geological, geotechnical, and operational considerations into robust plans.
  • First Class Mine Manager’s Ticket (desirable but not essential).
