Main Purpose and Function
The Planning Assistant III is responsible for helping implement the City of Vancouver Street Use Programs, including shared micromobility, and related projects focused on advancing the City’s public space goals. The Planning Assistant III is responsible for conducting research, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and preparing engagement and communication material to support shared micromobility programs under the direction of the Senior Project Manager.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
Education and Experience:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, supplemented or including post-secondary training in urban design, planning, public policy and sound related experience, or an equivalent combination of training or experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to meet transportation requirements.
Where operationally appropriate and subject to change, the City of Vancouver has a Flexible Work Program. This program allows staff to work a hybrid work week from locations that are a daily commutable distance from their work at a City worksite. At this time this position is eligible to be part of the Flexible Work Program.
