Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Planner / Scheduler to join our Infrastructure & Industrial team, based out of Toronto, ON. The Planner / Scheduler will be responsible for planning and scheduling engineering and/or construction projects in the infrastructure & industrial markets. This is a full-time permanent role that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Join us in promoting diversity and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Set up schedules, including schedule preparation plan and basis, proposal schedules, and associated costing controls and systems.
  • Support business development with proposal efforts and contribute to proposals and client presentations.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, auditing, and staffing support for planning and scheduling on projects.
  • Review and contribute to technical standards, guidelines, and procedures for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules.
  • Coordinate with management and client counterparts for planning and scheduling tasks.
  • Establish project control guidelines within the Project Execution Plan and implement tools and systems for managing earned value, cash flow, cost, revenue, forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Audit projects to ensure quality in planning and scheduling.
  • Develop and implement training programs for planning and scheduling.
  • Conduct personnel performance reviews as delegated.
  • Participate in interviews and make employment recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver training on designated subjects and on-the-job processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects, focusing on planning, scheduling, and project controls management. Experience in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and project management software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and Visio.
  • Ability to produce, interpret, and manipulate schedules and reports.
  • Experience across all project lifecycle phases.
  • Home office and site experience required.
  • Understanding of control requirements from studies through EPCM project controls management.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to assume increasing responsibilities.
