Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage planning applications, including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plans, and Minor Variances.
  • Draft planning documents and support the planning and design process from visioning to implementation.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients, municipal staff, and consultants.
  • Conduct policy research, provide feedback on development concepts, and present at Council and Committee meetings.
  • Monitor planning policies and legislative changes.
Qualifications:
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in urban planning or a related field.
  • Degree in Urban Planning or a related discipline and full OPPI/CIP membership.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online platforms like Teams and Zoom.
  • Solid understanding of urban planning and design practices within the Kitchener and Waterloo region.
