Job summary

GE Vernova Hydro Power in North America is seeking a Site Construction Planner to work on-site in Quebec. You will develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded construction schedules in Primavera P6, coordinate day-to-day planning with on-site teams, and track progress, risks, and mitigation actions to keep projects on schedule.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of on-site planning experience in industrial projects and proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project, with strong leadership

Qualifications

• Five+ years of on-site planning experience in industrial construction.
• Fluency in French and English is required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Québec (up to 100%).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and understand interdependencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded construction schedules in Primavera P6 (Level 4–5).
• Coordinate daily/weekly planning with site teams to sequence work and optimize resources.
• Lead short-term planning meetings (lookaheads, Last Planner) and maintain action logs.
• Monitor progress, earned value, and productivity; update schedules for site conditions.
• Identify variances between planned and actual work; propose mitigation or recovery actions.
• Support schedule-related claims and prepare schedule reports and S-curves.
