Job summary

Artelia Canada is seeking a field-based Construction Site Supervisor to lead on-site activities for hydroelectric and heavy civil projects across Canada and the United States. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and schedule adherence, and maintain documentation.

This role requires strong leadership, blueprint literacy, and experience with Procore, MS Project, or Primavera. Expect travel and diverse site conditions with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Extensive site supervision experience on large construction projects.
• Minimum 20 years of site supervision experience in hydroelectric or heavy civil projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering specifications.

• Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges to minimize delays.
• Maintain thorough and accurate site documentation, including logs, reports, and compliance records.

Work location: Midwestern and Western United States and Eastern Canada. Willingness to travel and work on remote sites is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in construction site supervision, with at least 5 years in hydroelectric or heavy civil projects;
• In-depth knowledge of hydro project construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations;
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders;
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications;
• Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera);
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation;
• Must be available for both planned and unplanned inspections;
• Field-based role requiring travel within Canada and/or U.S;
• Work may include exposure to extreme weather conditions, rugged terrain, and remote locations.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory and provided by the employer;
