Plaintiff Personal Injury (Tort) Legal Assistant/ Law Clerk

We are looking for a Plaintiff Personal Injury (Tort) Legal Assistant/ Law Clerk to join a highly regarded law firm that truly values its team. Salary: Up to $68K

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare, edit and revise correspondence
2. Draft pleadings, motions, pre-trial/mediation memos, affidavits of documents and other legal documents
3. Prepare undertaking and productions
4. Handle client inquiries in a professional manner
5. Organize and maintain client files to ensure deadlines are met and files are processed in a timely manner
6. Manage incoming mail and emails and maintain daily calendar
7. Schedule Examinations for Discovery and Mediations
8. Arrange medical legal appointments and prepare briefs
9. Other general duties as required

Qualifications

1. 3 to 5 years plaintiff personal injury experience
2. Successful completion of a Legal Assistant/ Law Clerk program or commensurate experience
3. Primafact/Timematters experience is an asset
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
6. Responsive and proactive with ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
