Job description

We are looking for a Plaintiff Personal Injury (Tort) Legal Assistant / Law Clerk to join a highly regarded law firm that truly values its team. Salary : Up to $68K

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit and revise correspondence
  • Draft pleadings, motions, pre-trial / mediation memos, affidavits of documents and other legal documents
  • Prepare undertaking and productions
  • Handle client inquiries in a professional manner
  • Organize and maintain client files to ensure deadlines are met and files are processed in a timely manner
  • Manage incoming mail and emails and maintain daily calendar
  • Schedule Examinations for Discovery and Mediations
  • Arrange medical legal appointments and prepare briefs
  • Other general duties as required

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years plaintiff personal injury experience
  • Successful completion of a Legal Assistant / Law Clerk program or commensurate experience
  • Primafact / Timematters experience is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Responsive and proactive with ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
