Responsibilities

• Perform piping stress and flexibility analysis for oil sands facilities.
• Develop and maintain piping models using CAESAR II.
• Evaluate piping systems connected to rotating and static equipment.
• Assess thermal expansion, vibration, settlement, and nozzle loads.
• Design and review pipe support systems and support requirements.
• Analyze slurry piping and wear-resistant piping applications.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with piping, mechanical, process, structural, and project teams.

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Hold a Professional Engineer designation or be eligible for registration in Alberta
• Demonstrate 5+ years of piping stress engineering experience
• Exhibit advanced proficiency with CAESAR II software
• Bring experience supporting oil sands, upstream, or heavy industrial projects
• Understand piping systems connected to pumps, compressors, vessels, and heat exchangers
• Demonstrate knowledge of slurry systems, wear-resistant piping, or CCO piping applications
• Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
