Job summary

Ledcor is seeking experienced Pipefitters for ongoing maintenance on a major industrial project at Fort Hills, AB. This role involves 14 days on, 14 days off, with 12-hour shifts, camp accommodations, and charter flights from Edmonton and Calgary.

You must be a Registered Apprentice or Journeyperson Pipefitter with industrial construction or pipeline experience and the ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing. A valid Class 5 license and strong safety mindset are required.

Qualifications

  • Registered Apprentice or Journeyperson Pipefitter certification.
  • Experience on industrial construction or pipeline projects.
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to problem solve.
  • Must meet safety requirements and safety policies.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair tailings pipelines, valves, and associated infrastructure.
  • Perform bolt up, rigging, and hydro testing.
  • Execute rigging operations including lifting, hoisting, and positioning pipe sections.
  • Assemble and install piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications.
  • Work closely with pipefitters and welders in a safety-first environment.
  • Work safely around heavy equipment in an active mine.
