Job summary

Primus Workforce Ltd. is seeking experienced Journeyman Pipefitters for day and night shift to work shutdowns in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Camp provided, travel to Edmonton or Calgary arranged.

The role requires Alberta journeyman status, CSTS-09/CSO, and readiness for safety-focused, field-based work. Expect to operate in a team environment, handle pipe assembly, testing, and integration of hydraulic/pneumatic systems while adhering to OH&S standards.

Qualifications

• Must be Alberta ticketed journeyman or an equivalent recognized by AIT.
• CSTS-09 and/or CSO required.
• H2S considered an asset.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs and climb in/under units in the field.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and OH&S standards.
• Select type/size of pipe and systems by reference to blueprints.
• Construct support hangers and hydraulic cylinders as specified.
• Utilize pipe bending tools or machines to bend pipe.
• Perform pressure tests and check for leaks.
• Ensure holes do not weaken structure.
• Connect pipe using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints.
• Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Cut pipe with saws and torches.
• Secure pipe with brackets, clamps, and hangars.
• Attend safety and toolbox meetings.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for experienced Journeyman Pipefitters for day and night shift to work shutdown in Fort McMurray. Alberta.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints
• Construct support hangers and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications
• Utilize pipe bending tools or machines to bend pipe
• Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks
• Ensure that holes cut in pipe will not cause structural weakness
• Connect pipe utilizing threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints and hand tools
• Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders
• Cut pipe utilizing saws, pipe cutting machines, cutting torch, etc.
• Secure pipe with brackets, clamps, and hangars
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned
