Job summary

Primus Workforce Ltd. is seeking experienced Journeyman Pipefitters for day and night shifts to work shutdown in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Join a safety-minded, field-based team responsible for piping systems, from fitting and bending to pressure tests and final assembly. Candidates must hold an Alberta journeyman ticket or a recognized certificate, and be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a team.

Qualifications

• Alberta journeyman ticket (or equivalent) must be held.
• CSTS-09 and/or CSO preferred.
• H2S awareness considered an asset.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs and climb in/under equipment in the field.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules and OH&S standards.
• Select type/size of pipe and systems by applying knowledge and blueprints.
• Construct support hangers and hydraulic cylinders per specifications.
• Utilize pipe bending tools or machines to bend pipe.
• Perform pressure tests and monitor gauges for leaks.
• Ensure pipe holes do not compromise structural integrity.
• Connect pipe with threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints.
• Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment.
• Cut pipe using saws, cutting machines, torches, etc.
• Secure pipe with brackets, clamps, and hangars.
• Attend required safety and toolbox meetings.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for experienced Journeyman Pipefitters for day and night shift to work shutdown in Fort McMurray. Alberta.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints
• Construct support hangers and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications
• Utilize pipe bending tools or machines to bend pipe
• Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks
• Ensure that holes cut in pipe will not cause structural weakness
• Connect pipe utilizing threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints and hand tools
• Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders
• Cut pipe utilizing saws, pipe cutting machines, cutting torch, etc.
• Secure pipe with brackets, clamps, and hangars
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be an Alberta ticketed journeyman (or hold a journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
• CSTS-09 and/or CSO
• H2S considered an asset
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
