Qualifications

Job description

The Opportunity

The Service Technician is primarily responsible for evaluating and diagnosing causes of breakages, repairing hydraulic components.

The Role
  • Complete dismantling and inspection of components, and prepare comprehensive service reports with accurate measurements.
  • Build, repair, service, and troubleshoot various hydraulic components.
  • Test rebuilt components or systems to ensure acceptable results.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and work area to ensure a safe work environment, performing cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
The Candidate
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanics, Hydraulics, Millwright, or equivalent experience.
  • Fluid Power Training is an asset.
  • Basic machining knowledge required (e.g., lathe, milling machine).
  • Fabrication experience and basic electrical knowledge are assets.
  • Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty tools and equipment.
  • Mechanically inclined with a good capacity to learn.
  • Effective communication of technical issues.
  • Service and team-oriented mindset.
