Job summary

WorleyCord Energy Solutions is seeking a Journeyperson Pipefitter for the IPL Maintenance Project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The position offers two schedules: 4 days x 10 hours or 9/80, with weekly pay and dayshift.

Ongoing work outdoors, starting ASAP, with a competitive hourly rate of $51.00. Responsibilities include fabrication, installation, and testing of piping systems, plus strict adherence to safety and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Journeyperson Pipefitting ticket from a recognized provincial training authority.
• Experience working at heights.
• Willingness to attend safety training (CSTS, H2S, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space).
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
• Assembles and installs piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications.
• Performs physically demanding tasks in access-restricted areas.
• Uses testing equipment to check for leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

• SCHEDULE: OPTION 1: 4 days a week 10 hours per day
• SCHEDULE OPTION 2: 9/80, 9 hours a day
• PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
• SHIFT: Dayshift
• DURATION: Ongoing

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings
• Assembles and installs piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications
• Performs physically demanding tasks such as cutting openings for pipe while standing for extended periods of time and securing pipe in hard to reach areas
• Uses testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
• May perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Journeyperson Pipefitting ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Must have experience working at heights
• Must be willing to attend safety training (paid by WorleyCord): CSTS, H2S, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills written and verbal
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
