JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

This working supervisor is responsible for leading a small team of trade workers on assigned projects, under the guidance of the senior Supervisor II and/or Foreman. The supervisor has the authority to make decisions related to their tasks, aligned with plans and goals provided by senior management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Review and implement daily plans to maintain production and control costs.
  2. Resolve daily issues related to personnel, safety, quality, and materials.
  3. Assess task areas before assigning personnel.
  4. Discuss concerns with team members.
  5. Ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
  6. Assist with submitting Condition Found Reports (CFRs) to the Foreman or Project Manager.
  7. Maintain organizational compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  1. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  2. Judgment to determine appropriate actions within policies.
  3. Organized approach to work with time management skills.
  4. Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations.
  5. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  6. Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
  7. Problem-solving skills for practical issues.
  8. Ability to interpret various instructions and documentation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. 3-5 years of related marine, shipyard, or industrial experience or training.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  4. Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  5. Ability to access military installations.
  6. Pass drug test and background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, sit or stand for extended periods, and perform physical activities such as climbing and bending.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Work on job sites with exposure to loud noises, hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and mechanical hazards. PPE is required, including hard hat, ear protection, safety shoes, respirator, and gloves.
