Job description

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipeline & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. Our team has had tremendous growth in the last year, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are currently looking for experienced Pipe Labourers to join our growing team to help us with our exciting projects on the go and coming up in 2025 in the HRM area. Under the direct supervision of a Foreman, you will assist with underground water & sewer pipe operations.

Requirements

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • 2-3+ years of pipe experience.
  • A positive attitude and safety conscious outlook towards work.
  • Reliable, punctual & organized.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment considered an asset but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Daily inspection of tools and equipment.
  • Complete a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
  • Lay water & sewer pipes in the ground.
  • Ensure company equipment is operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
  • Daily involvement in safety conscious activities and tailgate meetings.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by the Foreman.
  • Learning how to operate a wide variety of heavy equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the Foreman and other team members.
  • Other various construction related activities as instructed.
