Job Description

As a Foreman, you will work closely with our Operations team to oversee day-to-day activities, ensure quality standards, and drive project success. If you’re ready to step into a leadership role and grow with a dynamic team, we want you onboard!

Responsibilities

  1. Set daily goals – Collaborate with crew, sub-contractors, and survey teams to establish clear daily objectives and ensure efficient project execution.
  2. Ensure precision – Verify that drawings and specifications are followed accurately, maintaining high-quality standards on-site.
  3. Communication & Coordination – Maintain clear, consistent communication with quality control teams, crew members, and management, including attending site meetings to ensure project alignment.
  4. Adherence to protocols – Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), Work Plans, and the ACT are followed for safe and efficient project completion.
  5. Cost tracking – Monitor and track project costs to stay within budget and optimize resource allocation.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in heavy construction – Minimum 4-7 years of experience in the construction field, with a strong understanding of industry practices.
  2. Leadership & communication skills – Ability to lead a team of 5-10 direct reports, including Lead Hands and Labourers, and up to 15 indirect reports, while maintaining superior communication and problem-solving skills.
  3. Technical expertise – Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook, with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and teams.
  4. Education & Certifications – A high school diploma is required; trades certification or a college diploma is preferred. A valid driver’s license is also essential.
