How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The main objective of this position is to provide safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous pick-up and delivery service for gases while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives.

Adequate customer service:

• Provides prompt and courteous delivery of cylinder gases and/or welding supplies.
• Picks up empty cylinders as required.
• Maintains personal liaison with Customers, Account Executives, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams.

Loads and unloads trucks:

• Loads and unloads trucks with team members, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations.
• Plans daily routes based on dispatched items, drives to sites, picks up empties, and offloads trucks upon return.

Truck equipment and maintenance:

• Ensures proper maintenance and appearance of trucks and equipment.
• Reports system-related problems to the CMS team.
• Inspects cylinders for damage, tags damaged cylinders, and records issues using the Quality System.

Administrative tasks:

• Issues accurate delivery notes and receipts for all products.
• Maintains accurate truck records, including PANDA, TDG, WHMIS documentation, and highway logs, following CMS procedures.

Safety/Quality:

• Operates vehicles safely, using all tools and equipment carefully.
• Participates fully in ALC’s safety program.
• Reports unsafe conditions and accidents immediately.
• Advises customers on proper handling and storage of cylinders and reports hazards.

Are you a MATCH?

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Class 3 license with air endorsement; acceptable driver’s abstract.
• Mechanical ability, good communication skills, knowledge of compressed gases, basic welding, MS Office skills; Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset.
• At least 2 years of delivery industry experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
