F11 Piling Solutions in Grande Prairie, AB, seeks an experienced Picker Operator / Class 1 Driver to support oilfield, industrial, piling and heavy construction operations across Alberta and Western Canada. You will operate picker/crane trucks, move equipment, and assist with mobilizations.

This full-time role requires safe lifting, rigging knowledge, and the ability to travel to project sites. You will work with field crews, adhere to safety rules, complete logbooks and permits, and help ensure

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Current picker/crane operator certification for the operated equipment.
• Strong knowledge of rigging, load control, and safe lifting practices.
• Experience operating picker trucks in oilfield, industrial, or construction settings.
• Ability to travel to project locations and work flexible hours.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate picker/crane trucks for oilfield, industrial, construction, and piling work.
• Complete equipment and facility moves, mobilizations, demobilizations, loading and unloading.
• Transport equipment and materials between yards, leases, facilities, and project locations.
• Perform pre-use inspections and ensure lifting equipment is maintained safely.
• Plan lifts, assess site conditions, and select appropriate rigging.
• Follow load charts, lift plans, and site requirements.
• Coordinate with riggers, operators, crews, and client reps.
• Maintain logs, inspections, permits, and transport documentation.
• Adhere to company safety procedures and Alberta regulations.

F11 Piling Solutions is seeking an experienced Picker Operator / Class 1 Driver to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This position supports oilfield, industrial, piling, and heavy construction operations throughout Alberta and Western Canada. The role includes general oilfield picker work, equipment and facility moves, loading and unloading, hauling, rig moves and mobilizations, as well as lifting and positioning piling materials and equipment when required.

Equipment & Work You’ll Be Involved With

• Oilfield and industrial equipment
• Production equipment, skids, tanks, pipe, and project materials
• Piling and drilling equipment, hammers, and attachments
• Trailers and support equipment
• Heavy construction equipment, trailers, and support equipment

Responsibilities

• Safely operate picker/crane trucks for oilfield, industrial, construction, and piling work
• Complete equipment moves, facility moves, mobilizations, demobilizations, loading, unloading, and placement of equipment and materials
• Transport equipment and materials between yards, shops, leases, facilities, and project locations as required
• Complete pre-use inspections and ensure the truck, crane, rigging, and lifting equipment are maintained in safe operating condition
• Plan lifts, assess site and load conditions, and select appropriate rigging for each job
• Follow load charts, operating limitations, lift plans, and site-specific requirements
• Work closely with riggers, equipment operators, field crews, supervisors, and client representatives
• Operate safely on oilfield leases, industrial sites, construction sites, highways, and off-highway roads
• Complete required logbooks, inspections, permits, and transportation documentation
• Follow company safety procedures, client requirements, and applicable Alberta regulations

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Class 1 driver’s licence or recognized equivalent
• Current picker/crane operator certification or qualification appropriate to the equipment being operated
• Strong knowledge of rigging, load control, and safe lifting practices
• Experience operating picker trucks in oilfield, industrial, construction, or equipment-moving environments
• Experience with oilfield equipment moves, facility work, rig moves, or general picker services is a strong asset
• Piling, drilling, or heavy construction experience is an asset but is not required
• Clean or acceptable driver’s abstract
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel to project locations when required
• Strong commitment to safety, equipment care, and professional operation
