Purpose

This position serves as a trusted advisor for private wealth services, supporting high net worth clients' holistic wealth management and investment goals through a firm-wide strategy and disciplined process.

The Wealth Manager is a non-registered senior relationship manager responsible for representing a comprehensive wealth offering to high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients. They support clients in achieving their financial and life goals by collaborating with the Centralized Registrant & Investment Advisory Team (CRIA), who recommend tailored solutions based on a disciplined wealth management process.

The role involves developing deep client relationships to understand their life goals and needs, providing multidisciplinary private wealth solutions, and working with experts across the bank to deliver on client expectations. The Wealth Manager focuses on acquiring new clients, managing existing relationships, and identifying prospects to foster sustainable growth.

Accountabilities

Client Relationship Management
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences and uphold the wealth advisory value proposition.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with clients and Private Investment Counsel.
  • Maintain accurate client records and conduct ongoing wealth conversations to understand client needs.
  • Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to meet client goals.
  • Regularly review client accounts to ensure profitability and compliance.
Wealth Strategy Support and Execution
  • Document the Life Discovery process to support tailored wealth strategies.
  • Coordinate with investment teams to monitor and implement client investment plans.
Business Development
  • Develop business plans, sales targets, and marketing strategies.
  • Identify and attract new clients, expand assets, and increase revenue.
  • Participate in community and professional events to grow networks.
Risk Management/Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal policies.
  • Participate in compliance activities and report suspicious activities.

Education / Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • CSC, CIM (or in progress), CFA (asset), CFP (asset), LLQP (asset).
  • Industry experience or investment management knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong relationship management, business development, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, with integrity.

Ongoing education includes completing CIM within 18 months and working towards provincial securities registration.
