About the Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate of a Physiotherapy Program or an international candidate who has completed credentialing with CAPR? We invite you to complete your Physiotherapy Residency with Nova Scotia Health. Opportunities are available at multiple Central Zone sites: Hants Community Hospital, QEII, Dartmouth General Hospital.

The Physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with impairments, pain, or disabilities in a tertiary care setting. Responsibilities include obtaining medical history, performing assessments, developing holistic treatment plans, and educating patients and other health professionals about physiotherapy and health promotion.

About You

We invite candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Graduation from a Master's degree in Physiotherapy or acceptable equivalent
  • Current or eligible registration in a Resident capacity with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Current CPR certification
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • French language skills are an asset
Hours
  • Permanent full-time positions
  • 14-18 month long assignments, full-time
  • Post-residency, opportunities to apply for open positions within Rehabilitation Services or elsewhere across Nova Scotia Health
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $36.58

Benefits include health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
