About the Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate from a Physiotherapy Program or an international candidate who has completed credentialing with CAPR? We invite you to complete your Physiotherapy Residency with Nova Scotia Health, with opportunities available at multiple Central Zone sites: Hants Community Hospital, QEII, Dartmouth General Hospital.

The Physiotherapist reports to the Program Manager and assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with impairments, pain, or disabilities in a tertiary care setting. Responsibilities include detailed medical history taking, standardized testing, developing holistic treatment programs, and educating patients and other health professionals on health promotion and patient management.

About You

We invite applications from candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Graduation from a Master's degree in Physiotherapy or an acceptable equivalent
  • Current or eligible registration in a Resident capacity with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and eligibility for Canadian Physiotherapy Association membership
  • Current CPR certification
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of additional languages, especially French, is an asset
Hours

- Permanent full-time positions

- 14-18 month long assignments, full-time

- Post-Residency placement opportunities within Rehabilitation Services or other positions across Nova Scotia Health

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $36.58

Benefits may include health, dental, travel, disability, life insurance, and a pension plan.
