Job summary

Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a Physiotherapist to assess clients and develop individualized and group treatment plans. The role requires active licensure with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and a graduate of a recognized school of Physiotherapy.

The physiotherapist will participate in inter-professional care planning, provide education to clients and families, and contribute to teaching and research collaborators with Queen's University or other

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized school of Physiotherapy.
Active, unrestricted license to practice with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Experience in a specified area of practice is preferred.
Experience in student supervision is an asset.

Responsibilities

Utilizes evidence-based practice and best practice.
Uses outcome measures to guide clinical decision-making.
Reviews medical referrals.
Performs appropriate evaluation/assessment.
Participates in inter-professional care planning, team, and family conferences.
Participates in physiotherapy education and counseling for clients, families and caregivers.
Shares newly acquired knowledge with physiotherapy staff.
Engages in physiotherapeutic education for other health professionals, community groups and agencies.
