Carlington Community Health Centre invites applications for a Physiotherapist to support patients in Ontario. You will assess, plan and implement evidence-based rehabilitation to improve mobility and reduce pain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration and licensure in Ontario with the provincial regulatory body.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in physiotherapy in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations and medical history reviews to identify rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies to optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with standards.
  • Stay updated with evidence-based physiotherapy research and techniques.

About the Role:

As a Physiotherapist, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their physical mobility and overall quality of life. You will assess patients' physical conditions, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain. Your work will involve collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and adapting treatments based on patient progress and feedback. You will also educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and healthy lifestyle choices. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to enhancing patient independence and well-being through evidence-based physiotherapy practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration and licensure in good standing with the applicable provincial physiotherapy regulatory body in Ontario
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in physiotherapy practice, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in specialized physiotherapy areas such as orthopedics, neurology, or sports rehabilitation.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, or athletes.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital documentation tools.
  • Additional training in manual therapy techniques or pain management strategies.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.

  • Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated with the latest physiotherapy research and techniques.
