  • 5 positions - Western Zone: Valley Regional Hospital, Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Bridgewater Regional Hospital, Digby Regional Hospital, Annapolis Community Health Center
  • 7 positions - Northern Zone: Aberdeen Regional Hospital, Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital, Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, All Saints Springhill Hospital, South Cumberland Community Care Center, Colchester East Hants Health Centre, North Cumberland Community Hospital, Bayview Memorial Care Center
  • 5 positions - Eastern Zone: Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Saint Martha's Regional Hospital

Responsibilities

The Physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with impairments, pain, or disabilities. Responsibilities include detailed medical history, standardized testing, developing holistic treatment plans, and educating patients and families. Collaboration with other health disciplines is essential.

Qualifications
  • Graduation in 2024 from a Master's in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for Canadian Physiotherapy Association membership
  • CPR certification
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • French language skills are an asset
Work Details

- Duration: 14-18 months, full-time
- Positions: Permanent at South Shore Regional Hospital and Yarmouth Regional Hospital, plus temporary placements across other zones
- Post-Residency Opportunities: Open positions within Rehabilitation Services or other advertised roles across Nova Scotia

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $33.97
Benefits include health, dental, travel, disability, life insurance, and pension plans. Residency placements outside Central Zone offer a $5,000 signing bonus with a Return of Service contract.
