Job description

Position Summary: To work within the Ontario College of Physiotherapists' scope of practice guidelines, delivering safe and effective programs for all clients assigned to their care.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be currently registered with the College of Physiotherapy.
  • Must possess effective communication skills to instruct, counsel clients and clients' families, department staff, other hospital staff, medical staff, and outside agencies.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the job, e.g., able to lift clients when applying rehabilitation techniques, possess manual dexterity to perform manual therapy, etc.
  • Must be able to prioritize caseloads.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to engage in continuous learning and be open to new concepts and trends in the academic and clinical field of physiotherapy.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently in various hospital areas where physiotherapy services are required.
  • Conducts themselves in a manner that promotes respect for the profession.
  • Employment history demonstrating regular attendance at work.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingualism in both official languages would be an asset.
  • All TADH staff members must follow the COVID-19 vaccination series in accordance with the most up-to-date vaccine guidance provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
  • Starting salary of $40.36/hour; $78,702.00/year (as per Step 1 of the OPSEU collective agreement).
  • Option to enroll into Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan.
