Employment Status: Permanent Part-Time

Reporting Relationship: Manager of Allied Health

Hourly Rate Range: $40.36 - $56.30

Location: Finch Reactivation Care Centers, with availability at RCC Church and Wilson sites an asset.

Hours of Work: Rotating schedule (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Sunday). Additional availability is an asset.

Employee Group: OPSEU 590

Responsibilities
  1. Providing assessment and treatment for patients with medical, cardiorespiratory, and orthopedic/surgical conditions within the Reactivation Care Center.
  2. Prioritizing patient caseloads to meet patient needs.
  3. Recording assessments, progress, and discharge information.
  4. Maintaining workload measurement data.
  5. Collaborating as a member of the healthcare team.
  6. Adapting to caseload and program assignments.
  7. Managing patient caseloads in a busy acute care setting.
  8. Supervising Rehabilitation Assistants according to Ontario College of Physiotherapy standards.
  9. This casual position requires scheduled weekend work on the Surgical program.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy.
  2. Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  3. Eligibility for C.P.A membership.
  4. Previous physiotherapy experience is an asset; experience in acute care preferred.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  6. Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  7. A positive attendance record.
  8. Availability to work weekdays and weekends; this is an asset for the casual position.
  9. Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.
