A leading school in Vernon is seeking a permanent part-time Physiotherapist to support students with specialized physiotherapy needs. The role involves assessment, program planning, and collaboration with educational teams. Candidates should have a relevant degree, pediatric experience, and strong communication skills.

We have an opening for the permanent part-time, exempt position of Physiotherapist / Physical Therapist. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or a related field, be eligible for membership in the College of Physical Therapists of BC and the B.C Association of Physiotherapists, have strong interpersonal skills, at least three years' pediatric experience, and hold a valid class 5 BC driver's licence. Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
You are detail oriented and can sensitively manage confidential information. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can support high quality programming that includes the development of self-regulation, gross and fine motor skills, and sensory processing, and supports activities of daily living including self-care.
Reporting to the Director of Instruction, Inclusion, the Physiotherapist / Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with school teams to assess and plan for the needs of students requiring physiotherapy supports. This may include screening, assessments, consultation, program planning, and assistance in diagnosis, treatment, equipment selection / adaptation, training and research, training and monitoring of Education Assistants, assessment of safety and accessibility issues and liaison with community medical professionals and institutions and educational agencies.
