What We Need:

We are seeking an energetic and innovative physiotherapist for our inpatient Rehab program. As a Physiotherapist you will assess and treat a variety of patients for the program’s active acute medical and low-tolerance, long duration rehab caseload. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, your role will be to provide comprehensive, progressive and effective consultation, treatment and education for a varied clientele. This will include patients with musculoskeletal disorders as well as a growing geriatric population. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the ongoing program development and professional practice activities.

Frequent moderate and heavy exertion: lifting over 60 lbs., physical capabilities to manage fast pace and manual patient handling including but not limited to manual chest care, repositioning, transferring, lifting and ambulation activities

What You Bring To MSH:

  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills in an acute care environment
  • Excellent discharge planning skills with knowledge of community resources
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the members of the interprofessional team, including support staff
  • Good computer skills and experience with electronic documentation preferred
  • Evidence of continuing education and ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule:

Available to work 7.5 hr days and weekends.

$40.16 - $55.60
