Alberta Health Services is seeking a Team Leader for Urotherapy at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The role involves leading a specialized team in outpatient urogynecology, providing clinical supervision, developing patient protocols, and participating in educational activities within a collaborative environment.

Position Overview:
The Team Leader for Urotherapy is responsible for leading the team of Physiotherapists working in the specialized outpatient urogynecology and chronic pelvic pain women's programs. Our program is unique in pelvic health as you work within a multidisciplinary team which includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dieticians, and exercise therapists. You will assist in developing patient intervention protocols, education materials, and participate in quality assurance and outcome measurement activities.
Your clinical expertise and interpersonal skills may be used to provide consultation services to therapists within and outside the region as well as participating in clinical teaching of students, assistants, and staff. As a senior rehabilitation therapist, you will be involved in administrative aspects related to the program, including supervision, vacancy management, research, scheduling, program development, performance appraisals, committee participation or leadership, and coordination of site-wide initiatives.

Role Description:
As a Physiotherapist II, you will coordinate physiotherapy and allied health clinical services, supervise students and team members, and work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will make clinical decisions regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up, and provide clinical leadership to ensure safe, effective client care. You will ensure practice aligns with legislation, standards, ethics, and policies, and participate in program development, operational planning, and committee representation.
You will also coordinate daily operations, monitor care delivery, assist with caseload management, and participate in quality improvement activities. Qualifications:
Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy with related experience, active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta, and specific certifications and experience in urogynecology are required. Additional skills include leadership, communication, clinical reasoning, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in orthopedics, acupuncture, IMS, or chronic pelvic pain, familiarity with computer applications, and leadership development are assets.
