Job description

The Grande Cache Medical Clinic Corporation is offering a unique Physiotherapy opportunity for a full time independent private practitioner, to work within a busy medical clinic. There are 4 full time family physicians and a complement of staff working together to serve our rural community.

Located in the MD of Greenview, Grande Cache is 145 kms North from Hinton and 190 kms South of Grande Prairie. Situated on a plateau completely surrounded by mountains, it is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. From multiple hiking, horse and biking trails, lakes and rivers for fishing or kayaking, to Wilmore WIlderness Park for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle. We also boast a beautiful Recreation Center with an upgraded pool, weight room, and various on ice sports.

We provide services to residents of various ages as well as our indigenous community. Our economic base encompasses various industries such as mining, oil and gas, forestry and a federal institution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide manual therapy-based physiotherapy for musculoskeletal and sports injuries, as well as acute and chronic pain.
  • 1-2 + years’ experience treating clients in an outpatient setting (strong asset)
  • Performing clinical assessments and implementing treatment plans for clients.
  • Lead clients through individualized care plans – accurately assessing, communicating, and providing hands-on treatment to facilitate goal attainment for the client
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Create and/or contribute to excellence in the client and stakeholder experience
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of client progress
  • Liaise with referral sources and funders to build relationships and ensure clients’ needs are met
  • Provide written reports, as required, ensuring all documentation is aligned with College standards
  • Contribute to the clinic team through collaboration, demonstrating passion for the work you do and using good judgement and integrity in decision-making
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Engaging in continuous learning and skills development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, with manual therapy skills.
  • Strong ability to develop and implement treatment plans and evaluate progress.
  • A self-motivated practitioner who can work independently while being part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster genuine connections.
  • Keep accurate patient records and stay up to date with the latest research.
  • Be willing to engage in networking, community education, and patient outreach.
  • An awareness of the indigenous culture and traditions
