Job summary

Baycrest Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Physiotherapist to join the Interprofessional Practice and Pharmacy team on an on-call basis. The role focuses on assessment and treatment across Complex Continuing Care, Slow Stream Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and Behavioral Neurology, with potential reassignment as needed.

The physiotherapist will work closely with an inter-professional team to help patients reach maximum physical and functional goals, promoting return to independent

Qualifications

• Licensed in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
• Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association is an asset.
• Experience with geriatric populations and cognitive impairment preferred.
• Experience teaching physiotherapy students is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments, develop care plans, and discharge plans for diverse geriatric and neurological populations.
• Mentor physiotherapy students and supervise assistants as required.
• Collaborate with an inter-professional team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care.
• Lead and support program development and ensure quality patient outcomes.
