Physiotherapist - Cardiac Rehab - Primary Health Care

Join to apply for the Physiotherapist - Cardiac Rehab - Primary Health Care role at Nova Scotia Health Authority.

This role is based in the Western Zone at South Shore Regional Hospital, offering a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule, including day, night, and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will provide physiotherapy services within primary health care, focusing on cardiac rehabilitation, and will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team across various community locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate exercise programs for clients.
  • Conduct intake assessments and facilitate group exercise sessions.
  • Collaborate with primary health care staff, physicians, and community groups.
  • Provide guidance on health and wellness supports and social services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from an accredited university.
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
  • Experience with group exercise prescriptions and community programs.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel.
  • Additional certifications such as ACSM Exercise Specialist or CSEP are assets.
