Job description

The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing physiotherapy assessments, treatments, programs, and related functions. The incumbent will serve all Actionmarguerite sites and applicable service contracts. The Physiotherapist demonstrates a commitment to the vision, mission, and values of Actionmarguerite.

Pay Scale:

As per MAHCP Collective Agreement

Specifications:

This position provides services across multiple sites. Travel between sites may be required. Assignment and hours of work are subject to change based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Current active registration and licensure with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba
  • Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association is recommended
  • Experience in extended care rehabilitation
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
Abilities and Skills:
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages (French and English) is required (English only for AMSJ)
  • Strong understanding and ability to collaborate with Rehabilitation Services personnel and others
  • Meets physical and mental health requirements of the position
  • Organizational and workload prioritization skills
  • Self-development orientation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to handle multiple demands simultaneously
  • Proficiency with information technology tools (fax, photocopier, computerized charting, etc.)
  • Teamwork ability
  • Good employment record, including attendance
  • Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check satisfactory to the employer
Knowledge:
  • Workplace health and safety practices
  • W.H.M.I.S. program

This position is designated bilingual (French/English). Staff may hold multiple positions across different Actionmarguerite facilities, with total hours not exceeding 1.0 full-time equivalent.
