Position Details
  • Employment Status: Temporary Part-Time
  • Duration: Until November 30, 2026 (subject to change)
  • Reporting To: Manager of Allied Health
  • Hourly Rate: $40.36 - $56.30
  • Location: Wilson Site, with occasional coverage at the Reactivation Care Centres (Finch & Church sites)
  • Hours: Rotating shifts including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Employee Group: OPSEU 590
Responsibilities
  1. Assess and treat patients in Medicine Inpatient Units, with occasional cross-coverage in other units.
  2. Prioritize caseload to meet patient needs.
  3. Document assessments, progress, and discharge information.
  4. Record workload measurement data timely.
  5. Collaborate as part of the healthcare team.
  6. Manage caseload effectively in a busy acute care environment.
  7. Supervise Rehabilitation Assistants, adhering to Ontario College of Physiotherapy standards.
  8. Participate in scheduled weekend work on the Surgical program (for casual positions).
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy.
  2. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing.
  3. Eligibility for CPA membership.
  4. Physiotherapy experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  6. Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  7. Positive attendance record.
  8. Availability to work weekdays and weekends (asset for casual roles).
  9. Reliable attendance and discipline-free record.
