We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation Services department.
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, as well as professional standards and the code of ethics outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia, the Physiotherapist works both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include providing physiotherapy services such as assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of residents/clients/patients ('the client') and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession and department; participates in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the team.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days - 08:00 to 19:12, rotating
Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre is a 46-bed hospital with 115 residential care beds in the adjoining Peace Villa Care Home. It features two state-of-the-art operating rooms, ambulatory clinics including cancer care and hemodialysis, emergency and ICU, and a birthing centre with single maternity rooms for labour, delivery, and post-partum.
Fort St. John is located above the Peace River Valley, with a diverse population of approximately 21,000 (2021) and serving an area of about 69,000.
