Position Summary

**Financial Support for Moving Expenses is available for this position**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation Services department.

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, professional standards, and the code of ethics outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia, the Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include providing physiotherapy services such as assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of residents/clients/patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and achieve optimal health outcomes in inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings. The Physiotherapist also contributes to organizational and departmental goals, participates in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, education, and provides work direction to rehabilitation assistants.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days - 08:00 to 19:12, rotating

Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre is a 46-bed hospital with 115 residential care beds in the adjoining Peace Villa Care Home. It features two state-of-the-art operating rooms, ambulatory clinics including cancer care and hemodialysis, emergency and ICU, and a birthing centre with single maternity rooms for labour, delivery, and postpartum.

Fort St. John is located above the Peace River Valley, with a diverse population of approximately 21,000 (2021) and serving an area of about 69,000. Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
  • At least one year of recent related experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's license where required.

  • Equipment: Proficient in computer skills, data analysis, and reporting tools. Able to operate relevant equipment as required.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
