The Opportunity:

The Physiotherapy Aide will assist with the rehabilitation needs of our residents. This position assists in assessing, planning, implementation and ongoing delivery of therapy programs to encourage residents to function at their maximum potential of independence. The Physiotherapy Aide provides approved and directed therapy interventions to residents, clerical support to department, housekeeping duties with regards to equipment, and other tasks as required.

What You Will Do:

• Provides assistance for Healthcare Professionals (PT / OT)
• Monitors resident ability to participate in therapy intervention
• Prepares and maintains inventory of equipment and supplies and assists with maintenance programs (individual or group) as directed by the Therapist
• Provides repairs or modifications to resident equipment as needed
• Maintains infection control practice of treatment area and equipment
• Provides and distributes equipment as needed
• Participates in information sharing and communication
• Collects records and manages data in computer program

What You Will Need:

• Completion of related certificate program from a recognized institution
• Experience working in physiotherapy or occupation therapy
• Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing
• Excellent interpersonal skills,
• Consistently demonstrates AgeCare’s values of Trust, Respect, Quality and Teamwork
• Has ability to multi-task and remains flexible within a demanding environment
