We are seeking part-time or full-time qualified Physician(s), on a contract basis, to be part of multi-disciplinary teams of health care professionals and clinicians. The teams provide assessment and rehabilitation services to individuals with a variety of medical conditions, which include a large component of musculoskeletal injuries and many other services.

Your roles and responsibilities :
- Assess workplace injuries and medical conditions, and play an integral part in a worker’s early return to work This may include obtaining history, conducting physical exams, diagnosis, expediting necessary investigations, providing treatment, and the coordination of care, etc.
- Generate consult reports as a means of communication to the treating physician / s and the referral source. There is no patient-physician relationship established but on rare basis there may be need to follow-up on a patient in case the anticipated return to work timeline is not achieved in a timely manner.
- Function as integral members of a multi-disciplinary team which include physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, exercise therapists etc.
- Comply with ethical, legal and professional guidelines and standards.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations and medical insurance.
- Develop familiarity with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the organization and work collaboratively to achieve them.
Must Have
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (The CPSA).
- Active and unrestricted License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Experience in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and non-clinicians.
- Ability to use electronic communication tools and general computer knowledge (training is available to help reach this potential as required).
