Richmond Foundry is currently seeking physicians to work either 0.5 FTE or 1.0 FTE at their service center located at 101-5811 Cooney Road, Richmond B.C., providing drop-in health care services for youths aged 12-24 with a focus on comprehensive primary health care. The physician(s) will work in collaboration with Public Health nurses and other providers who support these services, including but not limited to mental health, substance use, sexual health, and other primary care issues. This role will be under a Contract with Foundry B.C.

Additional experience working with substance use and mental health is an asset.

Foundry is a province-wide network of integrated health and social services centres that brings together more than 140 government and non-profit partners to improve the wellness of British Columbia's young people. Foundry's goal is to provide safe, non-judgmental care, information, and resources, and to work to reach young people earlier – before health challenges become problematic.

The Foundry Richmond location brings together same-day counselling services with existing mental health and substance use counselling services, sexual health, youth peer and family supports, as well as access to social services for youth ages 12 to 24, all in one convenient location.

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Mandatory
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
