Dalhousie University is seeking a Physician Resource Manager to oversee recruitment and HR processes within the Department of Psychiatry. This role involves managing faculty appointments and developing position-related documentation, with eligibility for hybrid work. Ideal candidates will possess an undergraduate degree and relevant experience in a medical or academic setting, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
This is a provisional classification. Formal regular review classification procedures may be initiated at any time by the incumbent or supervisor after the incumbent has worked a minimum of six months in the role.

Job Summary
The Department of Psychiatry is a large, complex clinical and academic department that provides patient care, delivers education and conducts research in the area of psychiatric illness and treatment. The department is an administrative unit of three separate institutions: Dalhousie University, Faculty of Medicine, the Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health ( NSH ) and IWK Health. Reporting to theChief Operating Officer and working closely with the department head and the chair of the Human Resource Committee, the Physician Resource Manager will manage departmental physician resource processes including recruitment, probation, Individual Practice Profile ( IPP ), and annual performance measurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
