Job description

Physician-Neurology, Fairmont Medical Center

We are seeking a qualified General Neurologist to join the West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology at the WVU School of Medicine. The position is based in Fairmont, WV and offers ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.

The successful candidate will practice general neurology, with requirements including an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, eligibility for a state medical license, completion of a neurology residency, and board certification or eligibility in neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Department offers comprehensive therapies for neurologic diseases, including stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, headache, immunology, and movement disorders. WVU is recognized as a Joint Commission-approved Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center. The team includes neurologists, neuropathologists, and therapists collaborating in patient care, research, and education.

Fairmont is located in north-central WV, known for its cultural diversity, family-friendly environment, excellent schools, and recreational activities.
