Job Description

The Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant will perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations. Responsibilities include conducting history and physical exams in various settings, including Emergency Department and wards, and following patients in pre/postoperative care. Attendance at clinical and educational rounds is required. Administrative duties include documenting patient encounters, either through dictation or electronic medical records. Effective communication in English with healthcare teams is essential.

Note: This position is not for Medical Assistants or Medical Office Assistants.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, with a benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant.
• Eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Graduate of an acceptable Physician Assistant Educational Program.

Clinical Assistants must be graduates of an accredited Medical School and have at least one of the following: Clinical Assistant Assessment, NAC OSCE, or LMCC.
