Qualifications

• Must be registered and in good standing with the medical authority.

• Previous work with veterans and/or medical cannabis is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations for patients interested in medical cannabis prescriptions.
• Help educate patients on the medical use of cannabis.
• Monitor patient response to prescribed dosage and cannabinoids.
• Other duties as assigned

The Opportunity

We are excited to expand our team of physicians who hold licenses in Alberta and/or New Brunswick, and are currently looking for part-time work.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations for veterans and other patients interested in obtaining a medical cannabis prescription
• Help educate patients on the use of cannabis as a medicine
• Follow up with patients and monitor response to dosage and cannabinoids prescribed
• Other duties assigned

Experience

• Medical degree, registration and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of your province
• Specialty designation preferred
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal in English
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage a busy workload
• Team-oriented approach with existing team members and physicians
• Must be highly organized and have a good sense of time management
• Informed and abreast of scientific research and/or willing to learn more about the industry
• Experience in pain management or mental health is an asset
• Previous work with veterans and/or medical cannabis is a big asset
• Bilingual is an asset
