Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing requested administrative and clinical duties. They will greet patients upon arrival and work alongside physical therapists and assistants during patient treatment. All duties will be conducted in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The below is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives.

  • Prepares patients for physical therapy treatments, assists with supportive devices, and supports physical therapists during treatments
  • Safeguards, motivates, and assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities under professional supervision
  • Provides routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and modalities like Ultrasound and Electrical stimulation
  • Cleans work areas and equipment after treatment
  • Washes linens/towels, maintains linen cabinets
  • Maintains restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed
  • Assists the patient experience coordinator with answering phones, scheduling, and filing
  • Helps track and manage clinic supplies and may assist with inventory ordering
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred
  • Work Experience: Previous clinical aide or rehab technician experience preferred
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to document and manage projects effectively
    • Attention to detail and good time management
    • Focus on patient satisfaction and exceeding expectations
    • Energetic team player with compassion for patients
    • Ability to complete tasks thoroughly
    • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred
Language Skills:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
Physical Demands:
  • Visual acuity, including near, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Regular speaking and hearing ability
  • Ability to perform office activities including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and fine motor tasks
Work Environment:
  • Indoor office setting
  • Typically low noise level

Salary Range:

Minimum: USD $17.15/hr
