Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, supporting physical therapists and assistants during treatments, and ensuring compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for treatments, assist with supportive devices, and support physical therapists during procedures
  • Motivate and assist patients with exercises and functional activities under professional supervision
  • Administer routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and modalities like Ultrasound and Electrical stimulation
  • Clean work areas and equipment post-treatment
  • Maintain linens and supplies, restock as needed
  • Assist with answering phones, scheduling, and filing
  • Manage inventory of medical and non-medical supplies
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred
  • Work Experience: Prior clinical aide or rehab tech experience preferred
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to document and manage projects effectively
    • Attention to detail and good time management
    • Focus on patient satisfaction and team collaboration
    • Compassionate demeanor
    • Basic knowledge of office equipment
Language Skills:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
Physical Demands:
  • Visual acuity at various distances and focus adjustments
  • Regular communication via talking and hearing
  • Ability to perform office activities, including lifting up to 20-25 pounds, standing, walking, and using hands for manipulation
Work Environment:
  • Indoor office setting with generally low noise levels
