Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to the rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, working alongside physical therapists and assistants during treatments, all in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following is not an exhaustive list; duties may vary based on organizational needs.

  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, assist with supportive devices, and support physical therapists during treatments
  • Motivate and assist patients with exercises and functional activities under professional supervision
  • Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs, Ultrasounds, Electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Clean work areas and equipment after treatments
  • Wash linens/towels, maintain linen supplies
  • Maintain restrooms and other areas, restock supplies as needed
  • Assist the patient experience coordinator with answering phones, scheduling, and filing
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred
  • Work Experience: Previous clinical aide or rehab technician experience preferred
  • Skills: Strong communication, documentation, attention to detail, time management, teamwork, compassion, basic office equipment knowledge

Language Skills:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English

Physical Demands:

  • Visual acuity, hearing, and speaking abilities required
  • Ability to perform office activities, including sitting, standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and fine motor tasks

Work Environment:

  • Indoor office setting with generally low noise levels
