Job description

Per Diem Physical Therapist - Day Shift

Variable schedule for department needs at JVPT and IP: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Pay Rate = $52.50 per hour.

The Joint Venture partnership of San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Outpatient Physical Therapy with Loma Linda Health System offers therapists a unique opportunity to serve the community, fulfilling the Missions and Visions of both organizations with a wholesome approach.

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive, individualized interdisciplinary plan of care under physicians' orders in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, developing treatment plans, setting patient-specific functional goals, conducting follow-up assessments, and providing ongoing patient and family education. The therapist will coordinate the Plan of Care with other medical and rehabilitation staff, provide care and maintain EMR documentation in accordance with departmental policies, JCAHO standards, and federal and state regulations, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, and primary insurance standards. The role involves fostering a constructive and supportive departmental environment, understanding economic constraints, and promoting professional relationships. The therapist will participate in process and quality improvement initiatives, supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians, and serve as a clinical educator for students and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program or foreign-trained physical therapist with State Board licensure.
  • Current California Board of Physical Therapy licensure.
  • BLS certification.

Pay and Benefits:

Estimated pay: $58.71 per hour, based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and licensure.
