Job summary

Carewest in Calgary is seeking a Physiotherapist to provide client care on rehabilitation units, including assessment, treatment and discharge planning. You will support residents’ quality of life through interventions maximizing safety and independence.

New grads and physiotherapist interns are welcome. The position reports to the Neuro Rehabilitation Program and offers a competitive rate of pay; registration with Alberta College of Physical Therapists is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Physical Therapy.
• Registration with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta is required.
• AADL authorizer is an asset.
• Experience using physiotherapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide client care through focused assessment, treatment and discharge planning on rehabilitation and recovery units.
• Contribute to residents' quality of life through assessment of appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence on continuing care units.
• Provide clinical supervision to support staff and students.
• Other related duties as required.
